Bright and chlorophyllic, this gaoshan (high-elevation, over 1000 meters) tea is the greenest tea experience among the currently available Wulong teas. It is charcoal baked, but the contribution to the overall flavor seems to be a tempering of the transition from floral first taste to refined late flavors. This batch has some of the expansive astringency that often accompanies the characteristic dry finish in Wulong teas, but if desired must be coaxed out of the later infusions with a little more brewing time.
